I am pretty thrifty, and I don’t buy a lot, but one place I have found to be cost-competitive, continent and reliable is Amazon.com. I’ve bought everything from computer ink-jet paper to a re-furbished weed-eater on the site, and have been very pleased with everything I have bought.
For a long time, I had been extended the offer to subscribe to Amazon Prime during a purchase, and, one time, I decided to give it a try, and I am very glad I did. With Amazon Prime, you get free two day shipping, and that is really great if you are like me, and don’t want to wait for a special purchase.
The benefit I have used most, however, is Prime Instant Video, which provides free access to many streaming movies and TV programs. I like sci-fi, and recently I have been particularly interested in time-travel story lines.
Through Prime Instant Video, I have been able to go back and watch all the time-travel episodes of Star Trek Voyager, and also discover shows that I did not know had time-travel story lines, such as Lost.
And, when Google Fiber becomes available, I suspect I will be spending more time exploring tv shows and movies on Amazon Prime Instant Video.
